Description
The 4th year of Keiou and the final year of the Tokugawa shogunate.
With the Shinsengumi Chizuru got involved in the Battle of Touba-Fushimi which will decide the fate of the Toukugawa shogunate.
However, the Toukugawa shogunate was defeated and the Shinsengumi was forced to retreat to Edo.
Chizuru and the Shinsengumi executives had not returned to Edo for years, yet the place is without fondness and sentiment. With disappointment, things start to fall apart for soliders returning to Edo due to different opinions and non-negotiable matters. The soldiers then decided to live on as unhuman beings known as the "Rasetsu" in order to protect something that is precious to them.
This is a story about a young girl's choice to follow men who wield their blades with faith and will in their hearts during the decline of the Tokugawa shogunate and Shinsengumi.
