Een gruwelijke plaag teistert het Wilde Westen. Als de voormalige outlaw John Marston wakker wordt op zijn boerderij, is de wereld gruwelijk veranderd: hordes afschuwelijke ondoden hebben 's nachts de stadjes en dorpen van het wilde westen aangevallen. In een wanhopige poging zijn gezin te redden, reist Marston door een verwoeste en chaotische wereld. Hij moet al zijn vaardigheden inzetten om te overleven en een medicijn te vinden.

Neem het op tegen de zombies in spannende coöp-missies en het speltype Competitive. Val aan en verdedig in het speltype Stronghold of probeer territorium te veroveren in Land Grab. Speel als de legendarische personages uit Red Dead Revolver of kies je favoriete personage uit Red Dead Redemption. Versla je vrienden in Poker, Liar’s Dice en Horse Racing en vernietig je vijanden met de dodelijke Tomahawk en het Explosive Rifle.
